  There is a Breeze Blowing

There is a breeze blowing

I cannot deny it any longer

First it was a gentle nudging

But that swirl is now a mighty wind

That will uproot all that I know

All that I planted and watched grow

Is carried up to god

God laughs at our plans

Especially the well thought out ones

Nature knows the truth

Implanted in every blade of grass

Our cars, our phones,

Our lovers, our homes

They do not last

I want what lasts after the storm

What was there before, and evermore

I stand and await the rainbow

That lays hidden behind the clouds

Dormant inside us all

This time when the lightening bolt of love passes me

I will grab it, and take it deep inside

Yes....Yes there is a breeze blowing!
